Extradition of two crime suspects from Poland to Russia took place

“Today, Russian citizens Tigran Dokhalov, born in 1963, and Andrey Aleksandrov, born in 1989, were extradited from Warsaw to Moscow, accompanied by officers of the Russian Bureau of Interpol and the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia.

Tigran Dokhalov is accused of committing crimes under part 2 of Article 199.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. As the general director of one of the Moscow companies, from 2012 to 2016 he did not fulfill tax obligations totaling more than 47 million rubles.

Andrey Aleksandrov, in turn, was wanted for involvement in arms smuggling and trafficking committed as part of an organized group.

As a result of operational-search measures, law enforcement officers found that, having committed a crime, both the suspects left the territory of the Russian Federation. Based on requests from the MIA of Russia GA for Moscow and the MIA for the Republic of Buryatia, they were put on the international wanted list. In February 2019, they were detained in the Republic of Poland.

The Polish competent authorities decided to extradite the defendants,” said the official representative of the Russian MIA Irina Volk.
