A criminal investigation into a fact of fraud committed by the head of a travel agency on a particularly large scale is being conducted by investigators of the MIA of Russia Administration for Surgut.
It was established that a 33-year-old resident of Surgut, the director of a travel agency, abusing her official position, back in 2018, repeatedly failed to fulfill contractual obligations to the company's customers. Currently, police officers have interviewed 15 victims from Surgut. The total amount of the damage exceeded 1 million rubles.
A criminal case has been instituted against the woman on the grounds of a crime under part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fraud”. This article presumes a punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to 10 years.
