At a meeting held at the MIA of Russia Department for the Penza Region, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Police Colonel-General Vladimir Kolokoltsev presented the Head of the regional department, Police Colonel Yuri Ruzlyaev, to the personnel.
The Presidential Decree on his appointment was signed by the President of the Russian Federation on January 4, 2014.
The head of the MIA of Russia informed the Department personnel of the tasks the police is facing at the moment – ensuring law and order as well as ensuring the security of the population of the region.
Vladimir Kolokoltsev specifically stressed the necessity of implementing strictly the tasks outlined in the May Presidential decrees, demanded an intensification of efforts in combatting the corruption, strengthening of discipline and order in the police bodies.
The Minister visited a territorial unit of the MIA regional Department where he got acquainted with the current situation and the progress in implementing the directives and the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
