Today, a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Countering Extremism in the Russian Federation was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia chaired by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, General of the Police of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kolokoltsev.
The Chief of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia noted that issues related to the upbringing of the younger generation had been repeatedly considered at meetings of the highest level. Including issues of the protection of children and adolescents from unlawful encroachments and the prevention of offenses by the underage themselves.
According to expert estimates, almost all adolescents, from the age of fifteen, are registered with social networks. Last year, at the initiative of law enforcement officers, nearly 26,000 resources containing radical content were blocked.
Participants of the event came to a consensus on the need for targeted work for the timely identification of citizens intending to commit unlawful actions and posing a public threat.
