“Officers of the MIA of Russia Main Directorate of Economic Security and Combatting Corruption, together with colleagues from the Bryansk Region, detained the alleged organizer of the operation of a network of illegal gas stations.
It was established that the offender with accomplices in the period from 2017 to January 2019 in the territory of the Bryansk Region near roadside cafes organized the sale of a surrogate diesel fuel without a license.
The total amount of illegal income received as a result of those unlawful activities exceeded 26 million rubles.
Based on the revealed facts, the Investigative unit of the MIA of Russia Administration for the Bryansk Region initiated a criminal case under part 2 of Article 171 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
Police officers with the support of the Rosgvardia conducted 12 searches in residences and office premises. Documents testifying to illegal activities and cash in the amount of over 12 million rubles were found and seized.
With regard to the alleged organizer of the illegal activities, a preventive measure was chosen in the form of a subscription on his own recognizance and proper behavior,” said the official representative of the MIA of Russia Irina Volk.
