“Officers of the Criminal Investigation Division of the MIA of Russia Division for the Blagodarnensky Urban District of the Stavropol Territory detained a 51-year-old woman who was on the federal wanted list for 17 years.
According to available information, in 2002, the offender sold three pieces of polymer film with a dark brown substance, which as a result of a forensic examination was recognized as a narcotic drug - opium.
The Investigation unit of the MIA of Russia Division for the Blagodarnensky Urban District of the Stavropol Territory initiated a criminal case against the suspect on the grounds of a crime under part 3 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. However, during the preliminary investigation, she hid from law enforcement bodies, in connection with which she was put on the federal wanted list.
As a result of operational-search measures, it was established that all that time the woman, changed residence addresses, moving from region to region, and introduced herself by different names.
The wanted woman was detained by the police in one of the apartments in the Moscow Region.
Currently, the criminal proceedings have been resumed, the detainee has been transferred to the initiator of the search. The preliminary investigation of the criminal case continues,” said the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.
