Vitaly Shulika introduced the new head of the MIA of Russia Administration for the Ivanovo Region

Today in Ivanovo, Deputy-Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Police Lieutenant-General Vitaly Shulika presented to the staff of the MIA of Russia Administration for the Ivanovo Region the new chief - Colonel of Police Vladimir Zhigailo. The decree on his appointment was signed by the President of the Russian Federation on May 1, 2019.

The event was held with the participation of representatives of state authorities of the region, law enforcement bodies, the Council of Veterans of Internal Affairs and the Public Council under the Regional Police Administration.

Vitaly Shulika, introducing the newly appointed chief to the personnel, noted that Vladimir Zhigailo had sufficient experience of heading internal affairs bodies, and expressed confidence that he would be able to achieve positive results in operational activities in the new position.

In his turn, Vladimir Zhigailo noted that the appointment to the position of the Chief of the he MIA of Russia Administration for the Ivanovo Region was a great honor and a serious responsibility for him. He stressed that he would do everything necessary to ensure that the activities of the Administration met the requirements of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, and that the residents of the region felt protected from criminal attacks.

Curriculum Vitae:

Vladimir Nikolayevich Zhigailo was born on March 20, 1965 in the village of Zhigailovka, Korochansky District, Belgorod Region. After military service in the Armed forces in August 1986 he started his service in the internal affairs bodies.

During his service in the internal affairs bodies he ascended from the position of a militiaman of a private security company to deputy chief of police of the MIA of Russia Administration for the Belgorod Region, to which he was appointed in 2011.

In August 2015, Vladimir Nikolayevich Zhigailo was appointed to the position of Deputy Chief of the MIA of Russia Administration for the Belgorod Region - Chief of Police.

Vladimir Nikolayevich Zhigailo has a higher education in law (he graduated from the Higher Investigative School of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs in Volgograd in 1991, then graduated from the Academy of Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in 2000) and has been awarded state and departmental awards.

Married, has a son and a daughter.

By decree of the President of the Russian Federation of May 1, 2019, V.N. Zhigailo was appointed Chief of the MIA of Russia Administration for the Ivanovo Region.
