“Officers of the Administration for Criminal Investigation of the MIA of Russia GA for the Perm Territory together with colleagues from the city of Perm liberated a man who was kidnapped from the courtyard of his own house.

Employees of a commercial enterprise turned to the Sverdlovsk District Police Division in Perm and reported that they had received an sms-message about the kidnapping of their colleague with a demand for ransom in the amount of 12 million rubles,” said the official representative of the Russian MIA Irina Volk.

The Investigative Division for the Sverdlovskiy District of the city of Perm of the Investigative Administration of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Perm Territory initiated a criminal case on the grounds of the crime provided for by part 2 of Article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

It was established that early in the morning the man had left the house. The attackers threw a bag over his head and seated him in a car. After that, he was taken to the Kungurskiy District, where, he was tied up and held for the purpose of receiving a ransom.

After examining the recordings from surveillance cameras, operatives identified the car of the suspects. Road Patrol Service inspectors detained the vehicle run by a citizen born in 1966, who had been previously brought to criminal liability. The detainee indicated the place where he had been keeping the victim.

“As a result of the operational-search activities, criminal investigation officers detained two more men born in 1968 and 1996 who were involved in the crime. Detention was selected by Court as the preventive measure with regard to all the suspects,” Irina Volk noted.

The preliminary criminal investigation continues.
