“Officers of the MIA of Russia Inter-Municipal Division “Kazachinsky” of the Krasnoyarsk Territory together with representatives of the regional hunting supervision detained a suspect in illegal hunting,” said the official representative of the Russian MIA Irina Volk.
“The state inspector of the regional hunting supervision authority applied to the duty-unit and reported that during the raid in the forest in the Pirovsky District a bear den with blood traces was found.
As a result of operational-search activities a 33-year-old local resident was detained. When inspecting his private house, the police found a bear carcass, a snowmobile, and five smooth-bore hunting rifles of various calibres,” Irina Volk said.
On this fact, the inquiry division of the MIA of Russia Inter-Municipal Division “Kazachinsky” initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime, provided for by part 1 of article 258 of the RF Criminal Code.
The preventive measure selected against the suspect was the recognizance of not leaving the place and of proper conduct.
