“The duty-unit of the MIA of Russia Inter-District Administration “Lyuberetskoe” of the MIA of Russia GA for the Moscow Region, received a message about a robbery in a cellular communication salon located in the village of Malakhovka,” said the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.
“It was established that three masked men had broken into the trading hall. Having tied the shop-assistants of the salon, they stole 85 mobile phones, 106 SIM cards, video recorders and a watch phone. The attackers also cracked open the payment terminal and took more than 120 thousand rubles. The total damage exceeded 1.2 million rubles,” Irina Volk said.
Based on these facts, investigators of the MIA Inter-Municipal Administration “Lyuberetskoe” initiated a criminal case on the features of an offense stipulated by part 2 of Article 161 of the RF Criminal Code.
After examining the recordings of surveillance cameras, police officers identified and detained one of the suspects. The suspect turned to be a 23-year-old resident of the North-Caucasus Area. During the search at his place of residence, mobile phones and SIM cards were found and seized.
Two other accomplices were detained by police when committing a similar crime in the territory of Moscow. Placement to custody was selected as the preventive measure for all the detainees.
Currently, operatives implement measures aimed at identifying additional episodes of the suspects' unlawful activity.
