“Officers of the MIA of Russia GA for Countering Extremism and the Administration for Criminal Investigation of the MIA of Russia GA for Moscow, in cooperation with the Federal Security Service of Russia, suppressed the activity of a group whose members were suspected of organizing the illegal migration,” said the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.
“It was established that the offenders to support their illegal activities organized several clandestine printing houses located in the territory of the metropolitan region, where documents were produced for illegal migrants,” Irina Volk said.
The investigative unit of the GA for Investigation of the MIA of Russia GA for Moscow initiated a criminal case on the grounds of the crime provided for by paragraph a) of part 2 of Article 322.1 of the RF Criminal Code.
As a result of operational search activities, police officers with the participation of the Rosgvardia detained at various addresses 10 foreign citizens, including the organizers of illegal activities - a man of 46 and a woman of 31.
“During the searches, a large number of blank forms of various migration documents were found, including passports of foreign citizens with signs of forgery, prints of stamps of crossing the state border of the Russian Federation, as well as equipment for making forged documents, dyes, mobile phones and other items and documents that matter for the criminal case,” the official representative added.
