In the Kemerovo Region the Court passed a verdict on a “cache-maker” for attempted distribution of synthetic drugs

Kiselevsky city court passed a sentence in a criminal case against two local residents. They were charged with committing crimes, provided for by clause “b” of part 2 of Article 228.1 of the RF Criminal Code “Illegal production, distribution or shipment of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues”, part 3 of Article 30 of the RF Criminal Code - part 5 of Article 228.1 of the RF Criminal Code “Illegal production, distribution or shipment of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues”.

In December 2017, officers of the Administration for Drug Control of the MIA of Russia GA for the Kemerovo Region, together with colleagues from the MIA of Russia Division for the city of Kiselevsk, as a result of a special operation detained suspects in the distribution of synthetic drugs. During the searches, the investigators found and seized from the drug-dealers about 750 grams of mephedrone. An investigator of the MIA of Russia GA for Investigation of the MIA of Russia GA for the Kemerovo Region initiated a criminal case against the detainees.

The investigation found that one of the defendants had organized an on-line drug store in one of the on-line messengers. The criminal received batches of the drug through the so-called “caches” in Novokuznetsk, after which he transported them to Kiselevsk, packed and sold them through a network of caches. He attracted one of his Internet acquaintances as an assistant for organizing the “caches”.

After collecting the evidence base, the criminal case was sent to court, which found the defendants guilty and sentenced the organizer of drug distribution to 8 years of imprisonment, and his accomplice to 5 years of imprisonment with serving the sentence in a strict regime colony.
