“Officers of the MIA of Russia GA for ES&CC, together with colleagues from the Moscow Region, detained suspects in organizing the production and sale of falsified motor fuel that did not meet safety requirements,” said the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.
“It was established that the offenders carried out their illegal activities in the Ramensky District of the Moscow Region. Counterfeit goods were sold through commercial organizations and gas stations. According to preliminary estimates, the illegal income has exceeded 9 million rubles,” said Irina Volk.
A rapid analysis of the seized samples of automotive fuel showed that the products were counterfeit because of their poor quality, and their use could harm the health of citizens and the environment.
On the basis of the collected materials, the regional unit of the IC of Russia initiated a criminal case under clause “a” of part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
Measures aimed at the decriminalization of the fuel and energy complex continue.
