Officers of the Administration for Economic Security and Combating the Corruption of the MIA of Russia General Administration for the Voronezh Region suppressed a fact of a large scale fraud with a state subsidy.
During the operational-search activities, the police found that in 2015 the head of a private farm located in the Anivsky District provided fake documents to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Sakhalin Region to obtain a subsidy for financial reimbursement of the costs of purchasing the equipment for breeding and keeping poultry. According to the state program for the development of agriculture in the region, he was entitled to a compensation amounting to 70% of the money spent on the purchase of this equipment.
In the submitted documents, the suspect indicated inaccurate information about the cost of equipment and the amount of the financial costs incurred by him, which resulted in the unlawful receipt of a compensation in the amount of 31,605,000 rubles. Subsequently, the offender cashed the funds transferred to him and spent the money at his discretion.
A criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime provided for by part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fraud, that is, theft of another person’s property by deception, committed on a large scale”.
