On the eve of the 100th anniversary of the formation of the internal affairs bodies on transport and on the eve of the public-sports event “Ski Track of Russia-2019”, officers of the Kotlas Linear Division on transport of the MIA of Russian organized the Merry Ski Starts, which took place in the suburbs of the northern city of Kotlas in the Arkhangelsk Region.
In the competition under the motto: “100 meters - 100 times. In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Internal Affairs Divisions on transport!” officers of the Division and members of their families, including children - the smallest lovers of skiing, took part in it.
Men covered the main distance of 10 kilometers. Women competed at distances of 7 and 5 km, and the youngest participants of the Merry Starts showed excellent results at distances of 3 and 1.5 km. The weather favored the participants of the competitions, and the northern nature, on the eve of their professional holiday, not only pleased their eyes with its winter landscapes, but also charged the transport policemen with inexhaustible energy, which they need so much in their daily activities.
Upon the end of the ski race, the participants did not forget about cheesecakes riding - a favorite fun of the northerners. Inside the sports complex, the policemen and their families competed in table tennis and billiards. The event ended with a tea party.
As often happens in a team of transport policemen, the “Merry starts” resulted in the victory of friendship.
Due to the specifics of the work of the transport police, it is far from often that officers of the Kotlas linear division on transport of the MIA of Russia get a chance to spend weekends in the circle of their relatives and friends. This sporting event in honor of the 100th anniversary of the formation of the internal affairs bodies on transport contributed to the unification of families of the personnel, and their strengthening.
