Officers of the Tobolsk Police Division for Migration Issues revealed a fact of fictitious registration of 50 foreigners from CIS countries.
As a result of investigative measures, the police found that an officially unemployed resident of Tobolsk, born in 1990, for two months registered foreigners in his apartment on a reimbursable basis. The Tobolsk citizen knew that migrants would not live there. For the service provided, he charged 500 rubles per person.
On this fact, a criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under Article 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fictitious registration of a foreign citizen or stateless person at the place of residence in residential premises in the Russian Federation”.
The Police remind that in the case of registration of a foreign citizen in residential premises, he is obliged to reside there during the entire stay. In the case of a knowingly fictitious registration of a foreigner criminal liability shall be incurred in accordance with Article 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of a fine of up to 500 thousand rubles or imprisonment for up to three years.
