Aleksandr Gorovoy introduced the new Chief of the MIA of Russia GA for Migration Issues

Chiefs of the GA divisions were present in the Collegium Hall of the General Administration.

By Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 44 of February 8, 2019, Major-General of Police Valentina Lvovna Kazakova was appointed Chief of the General Administration for Migration Issues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

First Deputy-Minister expressed confidence that the experience gained by Valentina Lvovna during the preceding stages of her professional activities would be useful to her in supervising the GA.

Aleksandr Gorovoy identified one of the priorities of the General Administration - improving the quality and accessibility of public services.

In turn, the new Chief of the General Administration for Migration Issues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation thanked for the confidence and assured that she would make every effort to fulfill the tasks set for the GA for Migration Issues of the MIA of Russia.

At the end of the event, the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation presented Valentina Kazakova with the service certificate of the GA Chief and wished her success in the new position.

Valentina Kazakova serves in the police since 1993. Held leadership positions in the Passport and Visa Service since 1995. Since 2011, she headed the Administration for Citizenship Issues of the Federal Migration Service of Russia. By Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 435 of August 26, 2016, she was appointed Deputy Chief of the General Administration for Migration Issues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. By Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 537 of November 10, 2017, she was awarded a special rank “Major-General of Police”. She has two higher educations, was awarded the Order for Services to the Fatherland, II degree, the Order of Friendship and other state and departmental awards.
