“The Inquiry Division of the MIA of Russia Administration for the Sergievo-Posadsky District of the Moscow Region initiated a criminal case under Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, against the driver who had repeatedly driven a car in a state of intoxication,” said the official representative of the Russian MIA Irina Volk.
“The Duty unit of the MIA of Russia Administration for the Sergievo-Posadsky District received a message that a traffic accident occurred at the 18th kilometer of the M-8 highway. The alleged perpetrator of the accident disappeared in a Mercedes car.
The wanted foreign car was noticed by traffic police officers on the A-108 highway. The driver ignored the demands of the police to stop. Increasing the speed, he collided with two more cars in the village of Skoropuskovsky, and then damaged a Police Road Patrol vehicle that blocked his way,” Irina Volk said.
The offender was detained. He turned to be a repeatedly convicted 32-year-old man, who in February 2017 was deprived of the right to drive vehicles.
According to the breathalyzer, the person responsible for the traffic accident had a blood alcohol content of 1.064 ppm.
Police officers prepared the material on the fact of the traffic accident, after consideration of which the Magistrate’s Court of Peresvet of the Sergievo-Posadsky District decided to put the driver of the foreign car under administrative arrest for 12 days.
