“Officers of the MIA of Russia GA for Criminal Investigation, together with the “M” Administration of the FSB of Russia and Rosgvardia, suppressed the activities of a group of persons suspected of organizing illegal migration of foreign citizens to the territory of the Russian Federation,” said the official representative of the Russian MIA Irina Volk.
It was established that the offenders in a rented apartment produced for sale fake immigration documents and identity cards.
Based on this fact, the GA for Investigation of the MIA General Administration for the city of Moscow initiated a criminal case on the grounds of an offense under para. “a” of part 2 of Article 322.1 of the Criminal Code.
As a result of operational search activities three suspects were detained in Moscow and Reutov: two men and a woman aged between 31 and 49.
“During searches of the offenders' places of residence, various stamps, seals, filled-in and blanc migration cards, passports of foreign citizens, technical devices for the manufacture of printed materials, mobile phones, laptops and various accounting documents were seized,” Irina Volk added.
Placement to custody was selected by court as the preventive measure for the detainees.
Currently operatives implement measures aimed at identifying accomplices and additional episodes of the suspects' criminal activity.
