“Officers of the Administration for Economic Security and Combating the Corruption (ES&CC) of the MIA of Russia GA for Moscow, with the participation of Rosgvardia, suppressed the production of butter not meeting the safety requirements,” said the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.
It was established that in the Butyrsky District of the capital, offenders organized the production of counterfeit product, to which palm oil was added. At the same time the information about the presence of this component was missing on the package. In addition, laboratory research found pathogenic microorganisms in products prepared for sale to retail stores in the territory of the city of Moscow.
“In the production shop the police found equipment, packaging materials, palm oil briquettes, foil, 100 tons of raw materials, documentation testifying to illegal activities, and 31 tons of finished products,” Irina Volk added.
On suspicion of unlawful activity, one of the company's top managers was detained.
On this fact Criminal investigators of the North-Eastern Administrative District of the Investigative Committee GA for Moscow initiated a criminal case on grounds of crime under Article 238 of the RF Criminal Code. Remand in custody was selected by the Court as the preventive measure for the suspect.
