“Transport police officers delivered a citizen born in 1995 for smoking on board an aircraft to the linear police station at the Volgograd airport,” said the official representative of the MIA of Russia Irina Volk.
Today, officers of the linear police station were called to the board of the aircraft executing the Magas-Moscow flight. Upon arrival, they found that one of the passengers smoked en route, and therefore the aircraft commander decided to make an emergency landing in Volgograd.
“In respect of the man, protocols on an administrative offense under part 6 of Art. 11.17 (‘Failure of persons on board the aircraft to coamply with legitimate instructions of the aircraft commander’) and under Art. 6.24 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (‘Violation of the ban on tobacco smoking established by federal law in certain territories, premises and facilities’),” added Irina Volk.
