“Within the framework of joint activities, officers of regional administrations of the MIA of Russia and the FSB of Russia stopped the work of a clandestine distillery for the production of counterfeit alcoholic beverages,” said the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.
It was established that natives of CIS countries, including those staying in the territory of the Russian Federation in violation of immigration laws, took part in the illegal activities.
During the inspection of the building, more than 40 tons of alcohol-containing products without special stamps, 2 automated lines and 106 thousand empty bottles were found.
The seized items were transferred to the territorial division of the Federal Service for Alcohol Market Regulation. Samples of alcohol were sent for analysis.
The Investigation unit of the MIA Administration for the Ryazan Region initiated a criminal case under part 2 of Art. 171.3 of the Russian Criminal Code. With regard to one of the detainees, remand in custody has been selected as the preventive measure and the second has been placed under house arrest.
