Today, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation General of the Police Vladimir Kolokoltsev held a solemn reception of veterans dedicated to the Day of the Internal Affairs Officer. Veterans of the central office of the MIA of Russia and heads of the largest veteran organizations of internal affairs bodies from 21 regions were invited to the event.

According to the Chief of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, each of the invitees makes a significant contribution to the results achieved by the department in the fight against crime, and actively participates in the training of qualified police personnel.
The Minister noted that the veteran movement remains an integral part of the MIA of Russia system: “It is possible to write a book about each of you. We remember all your endeavors and we try to preserve and multiply them. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is doing everything to improve the social protection of our veterans, to support them, and to develop the regulatory framework in this sphere.”
Special words of appreciation were addressed to women-veterans, who, like men, endured the difficulties of the service and did not forget about their homes and their loved ones.
Vladimir Kolokoltsev wished those present and in their face all the veterans of the internal affairs bodies happiness, health and well-being.
