In the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal case instituted in April of this year under part 3 of Article 180 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, police officers found a shop manufacturing counterfeit clothing. The clandestine production was located on the territory of a poultry farm in the Shchelkovsky District of the Moscow Region. More than 200 people from countries of South-East Asia worked and lived at the sewing enterprise.
“During searches conducted with the support of Rosgvardia, more than 5.5 thousand pieces of counterfeit products, more than 230 sewing machines, consumables, as well as other items and documents evidencing the unlawful activities of the offenders were found and seized.
According to preliminary estimates, the damage to rightholders exceeded 30 million rubles,” said Irina Volk.
Foreign citizens who worked in the illegal production shop were taken to the territorial police unit.
Measures are being taken to identify the organizers of the illegal activities.
