“Today, escorted by officers of the MIA of Russia NCB of Interpol and the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) of Russia, Galina Anatolyevna Ryabinina, born in 1957, accused of committing crimes under parts 2, 3 and 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, was brought to Moscow from Spain” said the official representative of the MIA of Russia Irina Volk.
According to the investigators, in 2016, the defendant being the director of a tourist company in Bryansk, using her official position, accepted money from citizens, and disposed of them at her own discretion, without fulfilling the obligations taken.
“In Autumn of 2017, on the basis of a request by the MIA of Russia Administration for the Bryansk Region, the woman was put on the wanted list through the Interpol channels. This Spring, she was detained in Spain,” added Irina Volk.
Having satisfied the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation for extradition, the Spanish competent authorities transferred the defendant to officers of the NCB of Interpol of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
