“Officers of the Administration for Economic Security and Combatting the Corruption (ES&CC) of the MIA of Russia GA for Moscow have suppressed the activities of a group, whose members are charged with manufacturing and marketing of counterfeit yeasts and the illegal use of a trademark of a well-known world producer,” said the official representative of the Russian MIA Irina Volk.
As a result of operational search activities on the territory of one of a warehouse complex of the capital, a clandestine workshop was found, in which there were 5 production machines intended for manufacturing finished products. The warehouse was equipped by offenders in one of the garage complexes in the Moscow Region. Inside, the police found and seized more than 76,000 packs of counterfeit yeast.
“The MIA of Russia GA for the city of Moscow initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime provided for in Article 180 of the Criminal Code,” added Irina Volk.
Currently, one of the defendants has been charged with the alleged crime and the court has chosen for him a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and to behave properly.
