“In pursuance of the instruction of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to promptly resolve issues related to the acquisition of Russian citizenship, on the instructions of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, General of the Police of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kolokoltsev, on the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the section “Questions of Citizenship of the Russian Federation” was created. Transit to the section is via the banner placed on the main page of the Internet site. This section provides background information on the procedure for considering applications, the necessary formalities and forms of documents.
Also, an online service was developed to file complaints directly with the MIA of Russia GA for Migration Issues in the event of difficulties with obtaining Russian citizenship. The banner “I want to become a citizen of the Russian Federation” is available on the page of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. All applications received will be considered by specialists within the terms established by Law in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation,” said the official representative of the MIA of Russia Irina Volk.
All materials of the site of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation may be reproduced in any media, on Internet servers or in any other media without restrictions on the volume and timing of the publication.
