In Moscow, a meeting of MIA of Russia officers with representatives of the Spanish Civil Guard took place, at which topical issues of joint activities aimed at eliminating the channels for the receipt of narcotic drugs from Spain through the countries of the European Union to the Russian Federation were discussed.
Russian and Spanish law enforcers stressed that to date the suppression of international drug trafficking was an important task, as the number of revealed drug trafficking channels going through European states increased.
In the course of working meetings, the staff of the MIA of Russia GA for Drug Control, the Investigative Department of the Russian MIA and the international cooperation units of the MIA of Russia Department of Records and Work with Citizens and Organizations discussed in detail with their Spanish partners the state of ongoing joint investigations and agreed on further coordinated activities.
The sides confirmed mutual interest in further strengthening and developing comprehensively the multilateral international cooperation in the sphere of drug control.
