MIA of Russia officers detained a suspect in theft of security cameras
“Police officers of the MIA of Russia Division for the Stupino Municipal District as a result of operative-search activities detained a 30-year-old local resident suspected of committing several thefts,” said the official representative of the MIA of Russia Irina Volk.
“It was found that the offender penetrated the entrances of apartment buildings, as well as private households located in the Stupinsky District, and stole bicycles, power tools, garden tools, electrical appliances. In addition, 11 outdoor surveillance cameras installed on the buildings were stolen,” explained I. Volk.
A criminal case was initiated under Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. In relation to the defendant, a preventive measure was chosen in the form of a written undertaking not to leave and to behave properly. A part of the stolen property was found and seized by policemen during a search at his place of residence.
