“Police officers at the Domodedovo Airport during the inspection of hand luggage of a 22-year-old man found objects similar to two hand grenades and a pistol,” said the official representative of the MIA of Russia Irina Volk.
The bag with suspicious objects was examined by police dogs of the MIA of Russia Linear Administration in the Central Federal District and explosion technicians of Rosgvardia. The grenades turned to be imitations. The gun, according to the results of the study, was a pneumatic pistol.
The owner of the “arsenal” and his companion were taken to the airport police duty-unit for further investigation.
“As it turned out, one of the young people was a blogger engaged in videotaping pranks with people, he posted video reports about them on the Internet. The idea to joke at the airport and look at the reaction of passengers, aviation security officers and police belonged to him, and his friend volunteered to help. On the previous day to implement the idea the ‘jokers’ purchased two imitations of F-1 grenade and a pneumatic pistol in one of the capital's shopping malls,” Irina Volk explained.
In relation to lovers of pranks, policemen of the MIA of Russia Linear Administration at the Domodedovo Airport initiated proceedings on an administrative offense under part 3 of Article 11.15.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
The Justice of Peace of the Domodedovo Judicial District of the Moscow Region subjected the young men to administrative arrest.
