“Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, General of the Police of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Kolokoltsev, decided to award inspector of the Road Police patrol Service (RPS) of the Inter-municipal Administration “Orskoye” of the Orenburg Region, Police Senior Lieutenant Ilya Yeskin, who showed determination and courage when saving a child from fire, with a departmental medal “For courage in the Course of Rescue,” said the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.
On March 3, in the town of Orsk, Orenburg Region, a young woman ran-up to a policeman on duty, and reported that a fire had started in her apartment, and there remained two young daughters.
Ilya Eskin ran into the entrance of the apartment building, where he met a man with a 2-year-old girl in his arms. The man said that he failed in finding the second child in the apartment.
Entering the burning apartment, the RPS inspector, despite the thick smoke, managed to find a 4-year-old girl who had hidden behind a piece of furniture, took her out of the building and handed the child over to her mother.
As there was frost in the street, the police officer returned and managed to pick up street clothes from the apartment.
The arriving medical crew hospitalized the children poisoned with products of burning, now their lives are in no danger.
“The minister signed an order to award the distinguished officer,” added Irina Volk.
