An ex-official from the City Administration of Rostov-on-Don, announced wanted on suspicion of corruption, was extradited to Russia

“A citizen of Russia, born in 1976 and accused of committing a crime under part 5 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code was extradited from Spain.

In January 2015, the suspect being the head of one of the departments of the City Administration of Rostov-on-Don, received an illegal remuneration of more than 500 thousand rubles from a company, which was supposed to provide landscaping services in the region.

On the fact of committed crime, a criminal case was opened, and the man was put on the international wanted list in March 2016. A year later he was detained in Spain.

Today, accompanied by officers of the MIA of Russia NCB of Interpol and the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, the defendant was delivered to Moscow,” said the official representative of the Russian MIA Irina Volk.
