On February 10, a call from a local resident was received by the duty-unit of the MIA of Russia Administration for the city of Sterlitamak that she had seen unknown people putting a man in the trunk of a car. Arriving on call as part of the investigative-operative group, the policemen established the circumstances of the incident. According to preliminary data, unknown persons took away in a car trunk a 30-year-old resident of the city of Sterlitamak. Soon the body of the man without signs of life was found in the territory of one of the garden associations.
In the course of investigative activities due to eyewitness testimony, police officers quickly established the identity of the owner of the wanted car. She was 25-year-old resident of the city of Sterlitamak, who said that the car had been stolen from her. However, the 36-year-old local resident who had been the eyewitness to the kidnapping of a person identified the car owner as the woman staying near the car during the kidnapping.
At present, the materials on this case have been transferred to the Republican Investigative Committee.
MIA for the Republic of Bashkortostan decided to encourage the resident of the city of Sterlitamak, who assisted in solving a particularly serious crime.
