MIA of Russia officers detained a suspect in the illegal trade in narcotic substances
“Officers of the Administration for Drug Control of the MIA of Russia GA for the Perm Region stopped the sale of a large batch of marijuana. A local resident who was preparing for the sale of drugs of plant origin was detained red-handed,” reported the official representative of the MIA of Russia Irina Volk.
During the search at the place of residence of the defendant, a pistol and machine gun were found and about 10 kilograms of marijuana. The police also found a room equipped for cultivation of cannabis. 134 bushes of narcotic plants were confiscated.
Criminal cases were initiated under articles 228.1 and 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. With respect to the 41-year-old previously convicted man, a preventive measure was selected in the form of taking to custody.
