“Officers of the MIA of Russia GA for Drug Control, as a result of operational search activities detained in Moscow on Mira Avenue a 27-year-old native of one of the Central Asian countries, suspected of selling drugs on a particularly large scale,” said the official representative of the MIA of Russia Irina Volk.
During the personal search, the police found with the man 50 bundles of an unknown substance. According to the results of a study conducted by the Forensic Center of the MIA of Russia GA for Moscow, the substance was a narcotic drug – heroin with a total mass exceeding 100 grams. The offender lived in the North-Eastern Administrative District of the capital in a garage box in the territory of a car service station. During the search, more than 2.4 kilograms of heroin were seized in the premises, as well as equipment for packaging the drugs, which were sold through caches.
A criminal case was initiated on the grounds of the crime provided for in Part 3 of Art. 30, Part 5 of Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. With respect to the suspect, a preventive measure was chosen in the form of taking to custody.
Further measures are being taken to identify accomplices in the unlawful activities.
