“The Babushkinsky District Court of Moscow passed a guilty verdict to the culprit of a traffic accident on the Yaroslavl highway, in which a man died, and sentenced him to a four-year term to be served in a penal colony-settlement,” said the official representative of the MIA of Russia Irina Volk.
As previously reported, an accident involving three foreign cars occurred on the carriageway of the Yaroslavl highway in November 2016. The driver of a Lexus car drove into the line of oncoming traffic, where he collided with Daewoo and Hyundai cars.
The driver of Hyundai died on the spot from the injuries received, and the passenger of Daewoo and two passengers of Lexus received serious injuries.
On this fact the GA for Investigation of the MIA of Russia GA for the city of Moscow initiated a criminal case on the grounds of the crime provided for in Art. 264 of the Criminal Code.
In June this year, the investigation was completed, and the criminal case was sent to the Babushkinsky District Court of Moscow for consideration on the merits.
