Officers of the NCB of Interpol of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia ensured the extradition to Russia of a citizen, born in 1982, accused of committing crimes under Part 2 of Art. 131 and part 2 of Art. 132 of the Criminal Code.
According to the materials of the case, on July 21, 2012, together with two friends, he used his car to take the victim from a cafe-bar in Stavropol, and then committed group rape against the victim.
In July 2012, with respect to the offender, the Investigative Administration of the IC of Russia for the Stavropol Territory initiated a criminal investigation during which the defendant was hiding from law enforcement agencies, thereby delaying the investigation of the case. According to the results of the operative-search activities, it was established that he had left Russia and was hiding abroad.
In April 2014, the defendant was put on the international wanted list through the Interpol channels for the purpose of arrest and extradition.
