Today, in Moscow on Trubnaya Square, First Deputy Minister of the MIA of Russia Colonel-General Aleksandr Gorovoy laid a wreath at the monument “Grateful Russia – to the soldiers of law and order who died in the line of duty”.
Chiefs of subdivisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and educational organizations of the Ministry, veterans of law enforcement bodies, family members of perished employees and servicemen took part in the ceremony and laid flowers to the monument.
The ceremony participants honored with a minute of silence the memory of the perished officers, of all those who demonstrating willpower and indestructibility of spirit, fulfilled with honor their service duty, sacrificed their lives for the sake of saving others.
At the end of the event, a company of the Guard of Honor passed through the Trubnaya Square in a solemn march.
