Today, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, General of the Police of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kolokoltsev, presented to MIA officers government and departmental awards, as well as shoulder straps of the higher commanding staff.
Opening the event, the Chief of the Russian MIA congratulated the personnel on the professional holiday – Day of the Internal Affairs Officer and on the 100th anniversary of the Soviet militia. “The professional and moral potential formed in this period allows our officers demonstrate selflessness, heroism, honest and conscientious service to the people and the Fatherland,” the Minister stressed.
Vladimir Kolokoltsev recalled that a police officer is assigned with special powers and acts on behalf of the state, therefore it is extremely important for him to realize the extent of his responsibility to people, and place above all the protection of their rights and legitimate interests.
“Today's ceremony is not just a solemn event, but, first and foremost, recognition of your professional merits and personal contribution to the maintenance of law and order in the country,” the Minister said. “Only this year for the courage, dedication and bravery, over four hundred officers of law enforcement bodies were awarded state awards, more than six and a half thousand – were marked with departmental awards.”
The minister expressed confidence that the high appreciation of their work will become for the awarded officers a stimulus for new successes and achievements.
Also, the Russian MIA Prizes and the Main prizes of departmental competitions “Open View” and “Good Word” were presented.
The MIA of Russia Prizes in literature and art, and in science and technology for 2017 with the title “Laureate of the Russian MIA Prize”, with the award of a diploma and a breast sign of the prize – the sculpture of “Saint George” have been awarded to:
Aleksandr Chagadayev, artist of the V. V. Vereshchagin Art Studio of the MIA of Russia – for the creation of works in the field of fine arts, propagandizing the work of the law enforcement bodies that have received public recognition;
Konstantin Melnik, Chief of the Urology Center of the Main Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia – for achievements in the development of the departmental medicine;
Colonel of Police Irina Mozhaeva, Chief Researcher of the Research Center of the MIA of Russia Academy of Management – for achievements in the development of science in the interests of law enforcement agencies;
a team consisting of an electronic engineer of the MIA Administration for the Murmansk Region Senior Lieutenant of Internal Service Sergei Pasoter, Chief of the MIA Administration for the city of Murmansk Major of Police Aleksandr Privalov, Deputy chief of the Police of the MIA Administration for the Murmansk Region Colonel of Police Aleksey Smirnov – for achievements in the development of information technologies in the interests of law enforcement bodies.
