“Operational officers of the MIA Administration for the city of Kursk suppressed the operation of an enterprise producing clothes with the illegal use of trademarks of well-known brands,” the MIA official representative, Irina Volk, said.
The enterprise, located in the Seimsky District of Kursk, was engaged in the production and sale of counterfeit children's clothing. At the time of the check, the trade turnover was about 100 thousand rubles a day. Goods could be ordered and paid for through the Internet, clothes were delivered to the buyer by post. The firm posted advertising, which informed on the high quality of the offered for sale products of well-known brands.
A special printing press was used for the application of logos of famous companies to children's clothing.
Within the framework of the search, the police seized the equipment, printing plates and paints, with the help of which images were applied to the fabric. From the warehouse, there were seized all the products with signs of counterfeiting. As a result of the actions of the company owners , the copyright holders suffered a damage of about 3 million rubles. On this fact the Inquiry Division of the MIA Administration for the city of Kursk initiated a criminal case under Article 180 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
