“In the Bogorodsky District of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, a 38-year-old driver, who was in a state of alcoholic intoxication, tried to escape from the road inspectors.
The man refused to show his documents to the police, ignoring the legitimate demands of the Traffic Police inspector, abruptly started the car and tried to escape. Giving no reaction to the repeated requests of policemen to stop the vehicle, the offender continued moving, creating a threat to other traffic participants,” said the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.
After the moment the offender maneuvering on the roadway collided with another traffic participant, Traffic Police officers in accordance with the law “On Police” decided to use the service arms to stop his vehicle. The police repeatedly warned the offender on their intention. After two warning shots in the air, a traffic police officer fired a shot at the rear wheels of the offender's car. After that, the man stopped the vehicle and was detained by policemen.
With respect to the detainee, protocols were drawn-up on administrative offenses under Part 1 of Art. 12.8 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, Part 1, Art. 19.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, part 2 of Art. 12.27 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. The car has been placed to a specialized parking lot.
