“Drug Control operatives of the MIA GA for the city of Moscow detained in the Fili-Davydkovo area detained a 39-year-old associate professor of one of the higher educational institutions suspected of possessing narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances,” said the MIA official representative Irina Volk.
When examining the apartment of the detainee, the metropolitan police seized a compressed substance of a dark color and a bundle with a pink substance. According to the study performed, the seized substance is a narcotic drug – hashish with a total mass of 13 grams and a psychotropic substance – amphetamine with a total mass of about 0.5 grams.
The detainee himself explained that the prohibited substances belonged to him and were stored for his own use.
A criminal investigation into this fact was initiated on the grounds of the crime provided for in Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. With respect to the suspect, a preventive measure was chosen in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the city and to behave properly.
