“Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation General of the Police of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kolokoltsev arrived today in Singapore to take part in the 37th conference of the Asean Association of Chiefs of Police.
The visit agenda includes a speech by the chief of the Russian MIA at the conference plenary session, and a bilateral meeting of the Russian Minister and the Singapore Minister for Home Affairs and Law Kasiviswanathan Shanmugam,” reported the Russian MIA official representative Irina Volk.
The Russian MIA has been cooperating with the Asean Association of Chiefs of Police (ASEANAPOL) since 2011. In 2014, the Russian MIA became a dialog partner in this organization. Since that time the Russian MIA delegation participates in annual ASEANAPOL conferences.
The association has the following objectives: enhancing common understanding, information sharing and establishing close practical cooperation amongst police authorities of the ten member countries in combating the organized crime, enforcing the law and training the personnel.
