“Officers of the Russian Bureau of Interpol and the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service extradited Abdula Omarov from Germany to Russia. The man born in 1992 is accused of a crime stipulated by Part 2 Article 208 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
In November 2015, the authorities initiated a criminal case against the defendant on the fact of his participation in armed hostilities within an illegal armed group in the Syrian Arab Republic. In the same year, the defendant was put on the Interpol's wanted list based on the request from the Russian MIA for the Republic of Dagestan.
As a result of the investigation and search measures, Omarov was detained in Germany and today he was convoyed to Moscow,” said the Russian MIA official representative Irina Volk.
