Ukrainian citizen wanted by Swedish competent bodies was extradited from Russia
Citizen of Ukraine Aleksandr Cherepovsky born in 1983 was extradited in the Sheremetyevo Airport.
The defendant had been announced wanted by Sweden's law enforcement bodies for an armed robbery of a store perpetrated in 2008 in Stockholm, as a result of which the store owners incurred damage in the amount of 370,000 Swedish kronas.
In May 2011, Cherepovsky was put on the Interpol's wanted list and 5 years later, in 2016, he was detained when crossing the border of the Russian Federation.
Today, subject to the decision of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, officers of the National Central Bureau of Interpol of the Russian MIA together with the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service delivered the defendant to representatives of the Swedish competent bodies.
