“Operatives of the Criminal Investigation Administration of the Russian MIA General Administration for Moscow together with colleagues from the Internal Affairs Administration for the South-Western Administrative District of the Russian MIA General Administration for Moscow and servicemen of the Special Rapid Response Unit of the Russian Guard for Moscow detained the men suspected of robbing a jewelry store in Moscow,” said the Russian MIA official representative Irina Volk.
Unknown men broke into the store and, threatening the employees with an item looking like a pistol, stole the jewelry. The inflicted financial damage exceeded 9 million rubles.
“As a result of the investigation and search measures, Moscow criminal investigation officers detained four suspects aged from 19 to 31. In the course of the searches at the suspects' place of residence, the police found and confiscated 2 non-lethal pistols, a fake Kalashnikov gun, a sawn-off shotgun, brass knuckles, handcuffs, and a part of the stolen jewelry,” added Irina Volk.
The Investigation Unit of the Investigation Administration of the Internal Affairs Administration for the South-Western Administrative District of the Russian MIA General Administration for Moscow initiated a criminal case based on essential elements of a crime stipulated by Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The court remanded the malefactors in custody.
