“Officers of the Russian MIA General Administration for Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad Region detained three citizens aged 25, 31 and 36. According to the available and documented information, the malefactors had illegally misappropriated shares in housing spaces of 14 residents of various districts in Saint Petersburg,” said the Russian MIA official representative Irina Volk.
The suspects fraudulently misappropriated a housing space in a building on Ulitsa Desantnikov Street, as well as shares in three residential units located in buildings on Partizana Germana Street and Rustaveli Street. The authorities initiated criminal cases on the above facts based on essential elements of a crime stipulated by Part 4 Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
In addition, the gang members attempted to misappropriate a 1/2 share in a housing space located in a building on Podvoyskogo Street. The authorities initiated a criminal case on that fact based on essential elements of a crime stipulated by Part 3 Article 30 and Part 4 Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
At the moment, two defendants are in custody, and the third one has been put under house arrest.
