"Officers of General Administration of Criminal Investigation of MIA of Russia jointly with ACI of MIA of Russia in Moscow and ACI of MIA of Russia in Moscow region detained suspects of committing a robbery attack on a jewelry store in Vidnoye, Moscow Region," said Russian MIA official representative Irina Volk.

Attackers in medical masks broke into the room of a jewelry store, where they threatening employees with a gun, smashed window glass and stole jewelry worth about 10 million rubles.

On this fact, the Administration for Investigation of the Administration of MIA of Russia in Leninsky district initiated a criminal case under Part 4 of Art. 162 of the Criminal Code.

During the operational search measures five suspects were detained by the police officers. They were the Transcaucasus natives. The court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention against the detainees.

During the searches at their places of residence, a part of the stolen jewelry, money in amount of 400 thousand rubles, medical masks, a Makarov pistol and 6 bullets for it, as well as the car used for attack, were found and seized.

According to available information, the figurants are also involved in a series of robberies committed in Moscow in the period from 2015.

Currently, operational search measures and investigative activities are being carried out, their aim is to find additional episodes of criminal activities of detainees.
