The Chief of NCB of Interpol of MIA of Russia, the Police Major-General Alexander Prokopchuk, Vice-President of Interpol of Europe, took part in bilateral consultations on the further development of anti-criminal cooperation using Interpol's capabilities, including the search for and extradition of citizens from the territory of Israel. The meeting took place in Tel Aviv on the initiative of Israeli partners.
During the meeting the participants noted that for a long history of bilateral relationships among MIA of Russia and the ISB of the State of Israel, partnerships that effectively combat international crime have been established.
So, as a result of a close cooperation in September 2016, Gleb Grozovsky, who was wanted by Russian Police, accused of pedophilia, and Sergei Dobrolyubov (in April this year), accused of deliberately inflicting of grievous bodily harm, have been detained and extradited to Russia.
Within the framework of the meeting, the issues of management and improvement of Interpol's activities were discussed, in particular, increasing the effectiveness of work in the field of fighting terrorism, organized crime and cybercrime.
At the end of consultations, the parties confirmed their interest in further development of cooperation on the anti-criminal way.
