“Officers of the Russian MIA in Penza region intercepted activity of the organization, which pretended to be an international medical clinic. It was located in one of the shopping centers of Penza," the official representative of MIA of Russia, Irina Volk, said.
Earlier in the case of fraud in a particularly large amount committed by employees of the clinic, the Investigation Division of the Investigation Administration of the Russian MIA in Penza region a criminal case was instituted. The investigators detained the heads and employees of the organization - 12 people. Two heads of the clinic - residents of Krasnodar Territory - are to be taken into custody under a court decision. A house arrest was selected as a preventive measure for another person, the rest signed undertaking not to leave the place.
The basis for the institution of the criminal case was the numerous applications of citizens who reported about fraudulent actions of the employees of the clinic. They offered potential clients - most of them were women over 50 years old - get a free medical overhaul. An obligatory condition for the procedure was having of a passport. During the testing, the employees of the organization, under various pretexts, forced citizens to conclude unfavorable for them loan agreements for large sums money - from 50 to 200 thousand rubles – in order to pay for the services of the clinic.
It turned out that employees who did not have medical education were engaged in providing services in the clinic. For example, it is managed to identify that a comprehensive diagnosis of patients’ health was conducted by a person with education of an auto mechanic.
At the moment, the police received more than 100 applications from citizens who were clients of this organization. Currently, officers of the MIA of Russia in Penza region are conducting an audit of the clinic in all areas of services provided.
